What? Are you telling me that my cat an actually wear things?
As part of their culture, Tribe members often adorn themselves with jewelry and in some cases, tattoos. Accessories can range from a single golden bangle to multiple piercings. Jewelry is generally made of gold, but bronze and silver may be used as well. The use of bones is forbidden. As the rank of a cat increases, the number of adornments they wear increases.
Tattoos are received for various purposes. Cats of certain ranks may be required to have specific tattoos. For example, The Mark of Horus is imprinted on the skin of a high priest as a symbol of status. Others may have tattoos to express their personal interests, family lineage, or profession.
Adult Tribe members are identified by their kohl, a black dye that is applied around the eyes. This black dye encircles the eyes and ends in almond like points. It is believed that this protects the wearer from curses and evil. A cat becomes a full Tribe member when they first receive their kohl.
